Ventilation

Reduce moisture, condensation and stale air. Fresh air systems for homes that need better airflow.

Ventilation system installation

A lot of Golden Bay homes are older and have single glazing. In our climate, condensation and mould can be a problem.

We install ventilation systems that bring fresh, filtered air into your home and push the damp, stale air out. The result is a drier house, less condensation, and better air quality without having to leave windows open all day.

What difference does it make?

Dry windows

No more wiping condensation off windows every morning. Proper airflow stops moisture from settling on cold surfaces.

No more mould

Mould needs moisture and still air. Ventilation removes both. Wardrobes, bathrooms, and bedrooms stay dry.

Fresher air inside

Cooking smells, dampness, and stale air get replaced with filtered fresh air throughout the house.

Lower heating costs

A dry house heats faster and holds warmth better than a damp one. HRV systems also recover heat from outgoing air.

Which system is right for your home?

HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation)

Brings fresh air in and pushes stale air out through a heat exchanger, so you don't lose warmth in winter. The most energy-efficient option.

  • Best for: well-sealed homes and newer builds
  • Recovers up to 80% of heat from outgoing air
  • Balanced airflow, works in all seasons
  • Low running costs

Positive Pressure Systems

Draws dry air from the roof space or outside and pushes it into the house, forcing damp air out through gaps and openings.

  • Best for: older homes with natural gaps and leaks
  • Very effective at reducing condensation
  • Works well in combination with a heat pump

HRV is usually combined with a ducted system. Get in touch and we'll talk through what makes sense for your home.
